To see her sad child finally smile

Who’d give up a dress to give her princess a gown

And give up the stage to raise her star

Who’d take an extra mile beyond her feet can bear

To train and run for her champion’s prize

Who’d surrender her wants & sell her jewelries

In exchange to fulfill her children’s dreams

Who’d swallow her pride and ignore the pain

To mend a heart and restore happiness

To these and more than my memory can recall

To the sacrifices and tears you never showed

You are loved and treasured

Admired and valued

You are the queen of the house

You deserve a crown

Our Home’s Hero

Has your dad ever given up his own success so that you could win? He’s actually stronger, faster and smarter; and he has the authority and advantage.

But it’s his joy to humbly let go and lose, if it means you get the victory.

It’s his joy to slower the pace and answer the same silly questions, if it means more time with you.

It’s his joy to sacrifice more time and energy, or give up his comfort and luxuries, if it means you get closer to your dreams.

It’s his joy to walk extra miles even when he’s tired, if it means more adventures with you.

With human strength and limited resources, without a cape nor flying powers, he’d give up pride or even his life, just to protect and save you over and over.
